puppy dog tales (big news!) 23:18:59 on Saturday, May 9 2009

Don't expect too much from me - I am dog tired....

Talking of dogs... Wink whilst I have had to "palm" Billy off to my parents this weekend whilst I pursue my training schedule, Billy has been to his first dog show!  Mum took him along, and by the sounds of things there were some serious contenders for each and every award.

MY BOY has earned his first rosette!  In the Most Handsome Dog category.  Billy, you are beautiful (but we knew that already)!

Can't wait to have him home, it's strange being here without him to talk to, trip over, cuddle or correct.  Meantime Aggie my Moggie and I are having a girls night in.

Back to The City for day two of training tomorrow.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend,

Al

comment on your talk
Alex recently spoke at the school I work at - it was great, very thought provoking and the young people really understood and accepted so much more following it. One of the pupils chatted to me a few days later and she allowed me to join her in an optimistic dream that one day she would be able to go out and just pick up a cheese sandwich and be able to eat it and chat without actually thinking about the food, a small dream but out of reach for her just at the moment but spending that time imagining this treat was triggered by Alex, who allowed a different thought process and led them down an optional path.
I got busy, broke my foot, had time off work and forgot to say a big thank you and hope to see you next year xx Suzanne

Suz, thanks so much for this. So sorry to hear about the foot, I hope it is on the mend now It was a privilege to speak at your school and wonderful to read your comment here. It is the "little things" that make the difference and if someone has shared troubled mind and shared a dream following a presentation then that is fantastic - that''s BIG, as it opens the door to getting help and in time, getting happier and healthier. I''ll be back to see you all again - I hope It would be an honour. Al x
